A Green Window

A Green Window

Corporate Formula for Success.

It’s not one day instant heal for what we humans have caused to environment, but at last people have started realizing it!!! Today’s picture of corporate is “Help yourself & enhanced your identity to facilitate others.” Its like to what’s worth doing is worth doing well”. Everyone has started realizing the social stigma and to put it an initiative corporate are trying their best to intact with the ‘A Green Window’.
I deliberately framed the CSR activity,” A Green Window” as, every corporate need to understand that the CSR activity is the skylight view to nurture the customer by gaining and balancing the trust & as well as maintaining your credibility. Thus, while incorporating a CSR activity, the necessary and vital fact is to indulge the core of your activity in physical, emotional and rational manner. Physical can be assuaged by your effective and impulsive activates, emotional by implying the sense of indulgence in the mindset of your stakeholders and rational by setting reasons and developing potential to frame your outlook. Thus indulging these features, corporate can conduct a balanced motion in their doings and moderating its virtue in their stakeholder wits. The all enchantment of this virtue depends on doing right things to right people, at the precise time to proper extent, in unique fashion for the purposed reason, to motive your goal of CSR activity.
Its should not be all the time business oriented, for some instance every corporate need to think beyond that & should create some space away because then only your main motive can appear vitally and more of it can be taken in at a glance by which your proportion of goodwill be more readily seen. It’s like, selecting the path, which to take and which to not!!!!

Things measured get managed!!!!!

Things which get measured get managed!!!

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) should not just be measured an expense, but rather an investment. The core of the corporate identity is defined mainly by the corporate vision, its positioning and its behavior. Thus for any vision, goal or an idea to become a reality, a couple of accomplices are needed which are associated to measure and understand “How the strategy will impact on the use of the CSR to maximize the positive image of the firm”!!!

The thing is that, Organizations are getting competitive in whatever they do & their impact of business on society has never been examined more critically than today.

Social consciousness is not priority for most corporate’s, to most organizations it is a cosmetic tool to measure a narrow study & then to get managed the goal. Convergence of CSR practices and tools is occurring on a market-led basis through unpaid

bottom-up and multi-stakeholder approaches, and other drivers. Thus the PR practitioners need to understand the operating targets, and social & environmental before they can apply the measures of sustainability effectively. As I mentioned in my previous post how sustainability act as tool of the management. To pursuit the shareholder value and in companies’ and social and environmental responsibilities the business purposes need to be grounded. As new measures which are market driven (what it means for a company to be responsible) are emerging.

All it counts how the things are measured in the organization, how CSR is measured (Sustainability, Accountability & Transparency) to get the things managed???

Environment

Environment – A Tipping Point!!!

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environment...
Is CSR really a stalking horse for an anti-corporate agenda? Is it a tactic for brand building, by involving into social activities that help society in one way or the other? Do companies have a social responsibility to protect the environment beyond legal requirements? These questions really matters, Yes they!!!
The lack of a reported strategic approach to the environment perhaps demonstrates a serious risk for companies as other countries face up to the challenge of natural resource shortages and the effects of climate change. Through the resourceful, effective and suitable operation of the business the interests of the environment, customers and society at large can be best served which can be achieved through a clear strategic focus on providing excellent customer service, strong financial and environmental performance and by effectively managing the relationships with consumers, service partners and society. When an organization undertakes an activity which impact upon external environment then it affect the environment in many ways without reflecting the usual accounting of that organization. ‘The impacts can be positive; landscape project or negative; creating heaps of waste (mining operations).’ (David Crowther). Companies are also expected to be more transparent in disclosing and communicating their policies and practices as these impact employees, communities and the environment. Also they are expected to perform well in non-financial arenas such as human rights, business ethics, environmental policies, corporate contributions, community development, corporate governance, and workplace issues. Social and environmental performances are considered side by side with financial performance. As companies are being held accountable for their actions and their impact.
Thus CSR can engage almost any aspect of a company's operations as every company has a story to tell that sets it apart and it is important for every company to find its story and to tell it. A company that is measured as a good corporate citizen is one, which shows a promise to its stakeholders through socially responsible business practices and transparent operations.

Creating Eternal Value!!!!!!!!

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is not a particular goal that can be achieved, but a themed journey that improves business performance. Three principles together encompass all CSR activities: Sustainability, Accountability and Transparency(David crowther).A company that is considered a good corporate citizen is one that demonstrates a commitment to its stakeholders, to sustain a business management approach which should provide in the long run and better value for shareholders or other stakeholders through socially responsibilities, accountability in business

practices and transparency in operations. All organizations try to create value of one kind or another, the central principle of the unifying value proposition is that value is itself a combination, a “blend” of economic, environmental and social factors, and that maximizing value requires taking all three elements into account.

Organization creates lasting value through social & environmental performance. Speaking about sustainability, ‘It is a value to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.’ It is the capacity to endure and addressing the needs of present stakeholders while seeking to protect, support and enhance the human and natural resources that will be needed by future stakeholders. Sustainability includes increasing consumer knowledge and building demand for green products and mounting and manuscript sustainable business practices. Also it includes increasing initiative to make corporations accountable on sustainability. Corporations are appreciating that increasing the positive social and environmental impacts of their work can increase shareholder value while at the same time addressing the concerns of wider stakeholder groups. Although businesses are becoming more stylish at addressing sustainability issues, most social and environmental initiatives are still being made on an advertisement basis. Thus the companies need to focus on how to build the sustainable capacity to regulate and understand their current value, position and how to capture the value and learn to validate the result.

C.S.R

Corporate Social Responsibility!!!!!!!!!

Companies are not only liable to employee, customer or shareholder but they owe an obligation to all those in society who may have or not have stake or interest in company. It is from this obligation, the concept of 'Corporate Social Responsibility (C.S.R) has evolved.
The definition of C.S.R can’t be explained in one statement since there are many factor involved in this concept. These concepts emphasis on the aspects of social responsibility and show how the value, ethics and behavior of the organization can create impact on society. It is a term most often used to describe a developing dialogue that seeks to expand the role of business beyond the economic frame to include social and environmental aspects in society. This term was tracked back in 1950. Howard R Bowen in 1953 published his book ‘Social Responsibilities of the Businessman’ coining the phrase ‘corporate social responsibility’ and is perhaps the Father of C.S.R. For many years, C.S.R was an elective rather than part of the core prospectus; it was often merely a synonym for generosity. But that is changing in response to growing protests against globalization, and rising awareness of environmental threats and social and economic disparities around the world. In the past, a company's value was only based on its financial performance but in the new era there is increased pressure from investors, consumers, and employees to consider social and environmental criteria in the way a company carries out its business. Companies are now expected to perform well in non-financial pitch such as human rights, environmental, policies, corporate contributions, community development, corporate governance, workplace issues. Companies are also expected to be more transparent in disclosing and communicating their policies and practices as these impact employees, communities and the environment. When these expectations are up to mark, companies manage to get the clear picture of their corporate reputation.
Thus the important aspect over here i s that how C.S.R helps to build up companies reputation and in what way the companies leverage their strength to increase social cause and benefits society?
